Another of my own player characters from D&D, this time a halfling rogue.
I had a lot of fun painting this character trying to get the textures in the armor and the proportions of the figure right. The leather armor was interesting to paint as I needed to utilise a whole series of brushes to create the drier, more rough seeming textures in several areas.
Trying to get the proportions right was also an interesting task as the figure is only supposed to be around three feet tall so creating a body with the same proportions as a human would not communicate the actual size of the individual. As a result I found that I needed to increase the overall size of the head and increase the thickness of the limbs in order to demonstrate the sturdy stature of someone full grown at only three feet in height.
