This particular character was played by my father in games of D&D from years ago. She was a ridiculously high level magic user in one of the earliest editions of the game.
I really wanted to experiment with colour and background in this piece so I created a cliff side composition with a large forest below and mountains in the background.
I was pleased with the results of the image I created, I felt that I was able to work with the description I was given and was able to adapt my work to suit any changes that needed to be made. I had fun experimenting with colour in this piece as I really wanted to create a rim light effect based on the spells being used by the character, I feel like these really help her to pop out from the background.
