Based on a monster from Dungeons and Dragons today’s drawing is a Froghemoth. A gigantic three eyed frog creature said to haunt swamps and cause the disappearance of many a careless fisherman. They make use of their amphibious nature and natural camouflage to ambush unwary travellers, swallowing them whole before they have a chance to act.
I am pleased with this drawing, I feel like I was able to capture the overall design as well as placing my own spin on the style of the patterns, mouth and eyes. I feel as if I was able to find the balance between the almost comical elements of the design and the animal nature of the creature itself.
