Today I drew one of the denizens of the city of contemplation. The Nerelaith were a strong and proud people, standing between 20 and 25 feet in height. Their impressive size allowed them to easily construct their massive and intricate structures with little effort. They also possessed quite staggering intellect being the most advanced civilisation in the world before their mysterious disappearance.
The overall design is very much inspired by norse frost giants as they are often depicted in modern fantasy. I’m not sure how I feel about this design. I feel like I want to create something that is less physically intimidating while maintaining the impression of enormous height potentially by creating something physically thinner.
