Today’s drawing took longer than expected. I wanted to add more detail to the city around the tower of thought. The city of contemplation was a hub of academics and artists alike and because of this the city itself is an impressive sight. Large ornamented towers and halls stretch into the sky connected by arching bridges and long hallways. The gates themselves are flanked by two enormous statues and the city itself seems immaculate, however there are a large number of massive logs bracing the door shut from the outside. Adventurers have tried to enter before… but none have returned since.
I did enjoy this drawing a lot. When I produce more development work leading up to a final piece for this location I will be incorporating even more fantastic architecture and experimenting with the lighting of the area. I intend for the plains of the nerelaith to be far enough north that the majority of the time it is under cover of night.
