For Day 2 I have drawn another location from the kingdom of Aeryallon. The port city of Jenneth is protected from the destructive storms of the surrounding area by a ring of mountains that curve around to form a natural bay. The people have taken this opportunity to build a thriving trade hub in the calmer waters. They ship out minerals from the wasteland and receive the wealth of nearby kingdoms in trade.
Again I created the basic sketch using Krita, this allowed me to position the mountains in the background as well as help to position the buildings along the shoreline. I wanted to create the impression that the city was of a reasonable size by including lots of buildings of various sizes.
In the traditional drawing I refined the shape of the mountains as well as including more evidence of the shattered stones of the wasteland further away. I took the layout of the buildings that I established and was able to extend them further back into the background. I am pleased with how this drawing turned out as I was able to get more detail into the majority of the buildings I created than I expected to. When I come back to this environment I will be cleaning up the clarity of the buildings to make them more visually distinct from eachother.
